Parsley

What a way to start a day.

I received a parcel today.
From Capxion Media.

I was wondering why in the world would they, Capxion Media, send me something using the courier service, since I go to the office practically every other day. I go there to look for Edmund, sometimes Jerad and even Walter. I can always go there to pick up whatever they need to give me. They can always give me a call. So anyway, this morning while I was playing with my younger sibs, my dad called me from downstairs and he gave me the parcel. So I opened it, and to my fefjdxnkwe surprise, theres nothing inside it. EMPTY. AN EMPTY PARCEL. I called them (Capxion, well, Phoebe to be exact) up and they told me it was just some coupon (err Women's Secret gift voucher worth RM180!). So I told them to call Nationwide Express but Im guessing the story ends here. Yes, youve guessed it. Im pissed disappointed. Obviously you would know not to send any cash, cash equivalent or valuable items through the mail right? RIGHT?! This is the word I was looking for all this while (since morning), unprofessional.

I SWEAR TO GOD IVE LOOKED THROUGH THOROUGHLY.

Sigh. Takpelah Phoebe, you belanja I buffet jelah. Wahah!

Anyway, I went to a casting in Talent Factory yesterday. I was greeted with a "Hanis! (we've been waiting for you!)". Haha. Very friendly people (yes you, Diana!). So of course, I was nervous as this is my very first time doing such thing. Geetha, the caster, told me that she has read my blog ( WOH BANGGA GILA), my blog reflects my personality (WOH WOH WOH) and that im so me in my blog, and thats what they want. Hurei! It went on quite smoothly, except parts where I was talking too fast (out of nervousness Im guessing). Booo! After that I had lunch (with my whole big family, yes they accompanied me to my very first casting!) at Old Town White Coffee. Such cozy place.

Who taught you that face, Alisya?

Ive been wanting to go to Pavilion and visit my favourite people, my ex-colleague, and so I did! Wah its crazy and I miss them so much! I just miss working with them, wiping glasses and washing dishes and if got luck, sell handbags (very hard to sell Marc Jacob's item you know). Wahah! I remember my last day of working there, and Fairuz (world's most generous supervisor, who bought me a pair of jeans from Pull and Bear as a goodbye gift) had asked Cyndi to record a video of me doing my chores. Bladi hel these people want to sell video of me washing dishes and catwalking back to the store from toilet trip. They think got people want to buy?! Haha.

Me and the very-hilarious-plus-totally-Chinese-and-modern-looking Cyndi (my sister from another mother, I tell you), and the dancing diva Diana.

I want to go back to Marc by Marc Jacob :(

Eh no one stopping you also.
Lol.

After the whole imissyouyeahimissyoutoowhentobelanjame session, we (The Zainal's) went to Bangsar, because my mommy need new clothes. While she was in fitting room waiting for me to choose for her, a bunch of Chinese girls came up to me and the leader, Rachel, went like ARE YOU HANIS? ARE YOU MALAYSIAN DREAMGIRL? Me, flattered, with my cannot-control-flattered-nostrils, replied yes and yes. Rachel: OMG youre like my favourite model (when I realised she said model and not contestant or dreamgirl crap, my nostrils reacted even more). Hanis: THANKYOU. Rachel: Youre so pretty. Can I take picture with you? Hanis: WAHAH! THATS WHAT I WANTED TO ASK EARLY-EARLY LAGI. Yeah sure. *Snap snap*

She made my daaaaaaaaaaaay :D

Life updates anyone?

Hello reader friends, how are you doing? Are you enjoying your MC? Have you been recycling lately? Are you here to get my life updates? Hehe *giggle for no reason*

I know Ive been giving you
playful posts, but I just feel thats its the right thing to do. Entertaining you people after what you've done for me for the past two months. I hoped Ive entertained lah. Seeing you guys keep coming back for more is what brightens up my day and torches light to my night.

Anyway, just to let you know, I have not been busy with anything, because I have not decide on any modeling contracts yet. Ive been busy spending my time with my family (love love)
and I still owe my adik-adik a trip to ToysRUs, hoh diam-diam. Also went for a road trip (pictures included!)

Me and Hafiiz (in red)

Me and Hafiiz (in red)

Me and bootylicious Hafiiz (in red)

WAHAH!
All the 3 pictures above are snapped in 2minutes time so
as you all can see Hafiiz is a very hyperactive person.

I also accompanied mommy to send my superheroes (Hafiiz and Imran) and my little diva (Alisya) to some casting. My mom as usual, being the very supportive super duper mom that she is, filled up forms and got them ready (just like what she did for me for MDG, sobs I love you deeply mom).

My online friends from Facebook would know how supportive this boy (Imran) up here has been for me throughout MDG (and my life). IM A PROUD SISTER.

Somehow managed to find time and appeared in local newspaper's pull-out cover,

One of the 3 pages I was in.

and also did hair treatment at Wella center.

Picture snapped by YingYing ku sayang.

I went to Bangsar yesterday, to do some shopping. I seriously need it lah weh. You guys have seen my entire wardrobe during my MDG period I believe. Repeating clothes every now and then.

I remember theres this one time we girls went to Bar Savanh for Full Moon Party (DJ Joey G was in the house y'all!! Okay Im sounding very groupie like) and Hazel (the development manager kot) came up to me and was like "I saw this dress alreadyyy" *in a sing song tone, trying very hard not to make me emotional*. Lol. She was talking about my grey dress, if any of you have noticed, Ive been wearing this grey long sleeve dress for quite a number of times already, on air. That is actually my lucky dress (I dont know how daily life update leads to lucky dress suddenly but anywaay).

I wore it (the grey out-of-topic lucky dress) to:

1. My prom night (was crowned Prom Queen).
2. My first MDG audition (got through).
3. The very first MDG elimination (not even in bottom 3).
4. Full Moon Party (took picture with Joey G!)
5. The very last elimination (became top3 finalist).

Lucky kaaan? Very good chi I tell you.

OKAY! HOLRIGHT!
STOP RIGHT THERE! SHUT UP SHUT UP.
I KNOW YOURE THINKING WHY YOU NEVER WEAR FOR FINAL??!

Hahah.

Okay perasan abit. Never mind me.

Hanis terfikir: I wanted to (and even requested by my mom) to post pictures of me in my new dresses but that would defeat the whole purpose of buying it right? You know what Im saying? Oke takpe lah.

Wella Inspiration Inspired

Have I told you that I had major Deja Vu (the illusion of having previously experienced something actually being encountered for the first time) when we, the MDGs, did the Wella Inspiration photoshoot? Come, come, listen.

I SWEAR TO GOD THAT I HAD THE SAME PHOTOSHOOT WITH THE SAME HAIR WHEN I WAS LIKE 6 OR 7. YES! THE SAME MASSIVE NOTVERYAPPEALING KIND OF HAIR. I even have some photographic proofs.

Haha. This is actually my little sister. Trying very hard to look like me in my Wella shoot but instead look like a messed up baby with plenty of moles in the eyelid area. *Her first attempt. Notice the feather duster at the back we used as prop? Wow I can feel the ethnic vibes already (-_-")

*Second attempt:
THIS IS TOO CUTE TO EVEN LOOK LIKE THE SAKAI SISTER SHE HAS. FAILED.

Third attempt:
Okay now she just look like shes afraid of the feather duster.

Fourth attempt:
Woo fierce. Shes getting back at the feather duster for making her look bad in the previous attempt.

Fifth attempt:This too much.

Too elaborated.

Trying too hard.

Not working.

Hands of prop holding person is visible.

Sixth attempt:

Waaah look like Bratz doll.

Too bad.
Try again.

Seventh attempt:
WELCOME TO THE THE CLUB, SAKAI JR!
Thanks for not letting me be ugly alone.
Good job! Mari clap-clap...........

HOY HOY!
HOY HOY HOY!
WAIT A MINUTE! WHERE GOT!
Your eyes! Your eyes! Its smiling at me!
Youre making me look bad (and way uglier than I already was in that hair shoot sdjsdsraqpodmev)! Tak patut!

Go to your room.

Hanis says: Im so proud of my little sister. Oh everybody say hi to Alisya (Everybody: Hi Alisyaaa). Shes so young yet she can do so much. She's very good with instructions and she does not whine even though it was a tough photoshoot.
Like any other younger sisters out there, she wants to be just like her big sister, Hanis Zalikha. Im so honoured. I want to be a good role model for her! Actually I was planning to put my Wella photo next to her, but cannot lah, it would kill my career.

Lessons learnt:
It is not easy being a model. (congrats Alisya)
It is not easy being a photographer. (Ha baru kau tau, Hanis)
It is not easy being a make up artist. (thats my mom!)
It is the hardest being the prop holding person. (Hafiiz and Imran took turns, LOL)

Banner/ Kain rentang

I admit, I havent been updating for quite sometime.
No, its not that I have nothing to write about (trying hard to justify that I lead an interesting life, I hope its working), its just that Ive been busy figuring out this whole internet thing (oh darn, you wont buy it now, aduwsfsficgk). Yes I am new to this. And I dont even know how to put up a simple banner (and two minutes later, after posting this, I discovered the way to put up a simple banner all by myself. Sorry for the trouble). Can anyone please help me? (you can ignore this cry for help and proceed) Yesterday morning, I was inspired to create a banner of my own after I saw some pretty and cute and girlish banners with blinking stars and moving pictures at someone else's blog (envy envy). So I was like I WANT I WANT BUT HOW I DONT EVEN HAVE THE PHOTOSHOP PROG..................
OH HELLO, PAINT.

Youve guessed it, I used Paint (prog) and painful it was. I remember when my dad first bought a second hand pc, we (the kids) woke up early every morning , just to get our hands first on the pc to use Paint. TO USE PAINT.
Jakun giler I tell you.

Anyway, that thing up there, yes thats the outcome of using PAINT.
PAINT AND ONLY PAINT.

Tell me I did a good job. TELL ME!
akjsskfoeiwfjfnd *mumble mumble*
Okay so its not exactly spectacular ke apa. Kehkehkeh.

Is there any good Samaritans out there that would help me draw another banner altogether, with a high tech pc program (that obviously I wouldnt know or ever heard of) which look something like this, you get the idea, please apply within.

Ship of friends

It's been a long journey friends.
I was a nobody then, and now Im almost a somebody. But in your heart, I know Ive always been a somebody (Okay this does not sound as poetic as I wanted it to. Sounds just like body body bloody body but anyway, moving on..). Youve crawled, youve walked and youve ran with me, now I'd like to invite you to catwalk along with me through my journey of life. Friends, this journey of life wouldnt be as exciting, without you guys making me seem normal

without you guys being there for every joyful celebrations

(Valentine's Day, 2007, super duper special day)

without you guys pouring me with love

(though sometimes unrequited)

without you guys providing me with free tickets to places,

(Puteri Gunung Ledang The Musical)

and most importantly, I'd be nowhere without you guys MMSing me
The Joke of The Week.

(my friend with her siblings from another mother).

Thank you friends. Thank you for every single thing that you guys did for me.Thank you for having me in Dustbunny Rovers, eventhough we never win anything with me as your defender.

Thank you for letting me know that I have good qualities.

Jay: Hanis youre so matured. Unlike some of the girls here .
Jay: You are so lucky you dont have to do anything with your
hair and it looks fine the moment you wake up.
Valerie: Hanis, you are crazy.

Thank you for telling me my haircut looked great

(and only later, after it has grown into something much more appropriate, letting me know that I should have never done it in the first place. no wait. that was my mom).

Thank you, just thank you all for having me in your life.
It doesnt matter where youre at, as long as you know where youre from.

And yes Phillip you are amazing too.

Malaysian Dreamgirl's photos, the not so good, the bad, the ugly, the fugly, the mother fugly.

Hello there. Its me again. Welcome to my second post.
Hahah.

Today Im going to talk about my MDG's photos. As you all know, we, the contestant have been giving acceptable photos week after week. But unfortunately for contestant number 6, Hanis Zalikha, this one however,

Summer White (or is it White Summer? I know white christmas, but white summer? Lets stick with Summer White) shoot, like OH MY GAWD (bimbo voice)

WHAT IS SHE DOING?? WHY IS HER BRACES STILL ON? THIS IS NOT LIKE TOOTHPASTE AD FOR PEOPLE WITH BRACES OR SOMETHENGG. LIKE OMG (still bimbo voice and being very bimbotic) I KNOW BRACES ARE LIKE RETAINERS WHICH YOU CAN TAKE OFF EASILY BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT! OMG SHES SO DUMB SHE FORGOT TO TAKE HER BRACES OFF FOR THIS SHOOT. OMG I CAN ONLY COMMENT ON HER BRACES BECAUSE EVERYTHING ELSE IN THIS PHOTO IS ACTUALLY NICE. OH NO. ITS NOT NICE. I CANT ADMIT THAT. NOT IN PUBLIC ANYWAAY.
Note: This is a total sarcasm for people who has problem with my braces.

Moving on, Hanis's Savanth Too photo. Despite what the critics have said, I believe this is a good photo of Hanis. You see,

she does not look like a freaking 17year old, fooling around with her mother's dress, does she? She pulled this one off perfectly with just the right amount of elegance (even Jay, and her boyfriend (apparently, he told her during phone convo) agreed on this. HUREI!). I cant believe they (the critics) think its very portrait-like. I mean like, okay okay dah. Perasan betul.

Up next, Hanis's Wella Inspiration's photoshoot.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*roll on the floor*HAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHA*massage cheeks*HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*cook rice*HAHAHAHAHAHA. END.

Does this mean I'm a blogger now?

Hello my name is Hanis Zalikha and this is my blog.
Hello nama saya Hanis Zalikha dan ini adalah belog saya.

For the past two months, Ive been in this competition where I met a bunch of dreaming girls just like myself. It was definitely a life-changing experience for me because Ive never been away from my parents for such a long period of time (yes, SUCH A BIG MALAY BABY) and Ive found out that I have these qualities that I never knew I had it in me. Im sorry if you dont understand my sentence(s), because my english is not very good or understandable. By qualities, I mean good ones like maturity (the way I think, not the way I act or speak apparently, haha) and etc. My downside was, like I mentioned earlier, the way I speak. They (the viewers) said that I speak very manja (whaaa??) and not professional (I have to agree on this though, Im sorry mom). When I asked my friends about this, they were like "What the hell, kau memang macam tuh, in fact kami semua cakap memang macam tuh macam memang macam macam tuh lah". Haha my friends, my biggest influence. I guess they didnt get my 'macam'. Let me explain to you. Macam is like 'like' in an english sentence. For example:

English: Can you like please stop stealing tomatoes?
Bahasa: Bolehkah anda macam hentikan perkerjaan anda sebagai pencori tomato?

Haha bloody stressful dream house. Anyway, I won third place for that competition with pride and joy. WITH PRIDE AND JOY I TELL YOU because when I got out, I found out that I have a lot of supporters (online and offline), and they all were like posting HANIS FOR THE WIN. HANIS FOR THE WIN. VOTE FOR HANIS. HANIS MANIS. UNDILAH HANIS SI DATIN TUH. BAGILAH HANIS MENANG. MARI BERAMAIRAMAI RM1.00 SEORANG. HANIS FOR MDG. And so on and so forth. These people I tell you, cannot be traded with anything else in the whole universe, not even with a bloody red Latio. So the next day, when I got home, my dad showed me an article on MDG in TheStar newspaper (1 May 2008), where the winner quoted "Though I expected Hanis to win, I believe I deserved this". WOW. Wait. Really ah? I thought its the other way around. Should have been "Ive expected myself to win though I believe, Hanis deserves this". Haha I know, damn perasan lah me. I mean seriously, just read my blog's descriptions, can detect already that Im a perasan person. Anyway Cindy, congrats and good luck. Im sorry if you think Im not sweet for smiling like a nenek (ama/grandmother) on stage after they announced your win. Haha. I have that smile since I was born. My mom wanted to slap me the moment the doctor showed me to her, I tell you. Haha. Sumore with this braces on, lagilah my smile looks like a nenek's.

Now, let me explain my super duper uber slow catwalk on the finale night. I wanted to walk very fast, pose very fast, and just change to the other outfit very fast. But when I got on the stage, the screaming went like WAAAAAAAAH WOOOOOOOH HANEEEEEEEEEES, from the red tshirt people (I love you red tshirt people eventhough from far nampak macam kakak2 jaga booth Hotlink). I was overwhelmed. I wanted to cherish the moment for as long I can. Hence, a snailwalk instead of a catwalk. Seriously, when else would such a large crowd of energetic people scream your name during your catwalk (or snailwalk in my case). Mifa? Not a chance. Some other mall fashion show? In your dream, Hanis. And I was overjoyed when people came up to me telling me I walked oh so gracefully and very gentle. Cheh different persona on stage lah ni. Pewiit.

Ooh ooh I have another story! Haha for a first post of a first timer, this post is kinda long crappy and lengthy kan? Haha. Never mind, I nak cerita jugak. Before the final event, we went to Shawn Cutler for our hair wash and hair trim. So of course, before a show we need to be makeupless to make the makeup people's life easier. So we (me, Adeline and Cindy), went there, bare face, and simply let them do our hair. This guy who washes hair, already washed Cindy's hair. My turn was next. Then I sat down and chat with him while he carefully washes my frizzy hair.

Wash hair guy: What did you guys do last night?
Frizzy hair person: Rehearse for catwalk until morning.
Wash hair guy: No wonder you guys look so tired.
Frizzy hair person: No, its just that we always come here with make up on.
Wash hair guy: Cindy got panda eyes.
Frizzy hair person: Yeah, we always come here with make up on.
Wash hair guy: You look the nicest without make up.
Frizzy hair person: *Shining eyes*

But now, come to think of it, maybe its because, Im young, my skin is young, I dont always go with dragqueen makeup, or I simply dont have aunty's facial features. I may have nenek's facial features, but that makes me rather exotic, dont you think? HAHA I TOLD YOU IM PERASAN. Okay go on. Read other blogs.

Truthfully,
Yang benar,
Hanis Zalikha.

Ive seen my preview before I post this, and I thought its very boring, I mean seriously, compared to all those colourful vocabs blogs with colourful pictures, hesh. So here I include my recent photo, took this just before the final (bare face, the nicest one without make up according to Wash Hair Guy).

Ive gained 6kg, I didnt shave my legs and my eyes got smaller over the past two months. How lah to model with photo like that?

:P
