Spelling In the Russian literature, this species is known as Sibirenauta elongata [Starobogatov & Streletzkaja, 1967; Starobogatov et al., 1989; Khokhutkin & Vinarski, 2013]. Taylor [2003] used another spelling, S. elongatus, since the generic name Sibirenauta is of masculine gender (the Latin word Nauta means ‘a sailor’). However, the authors of the genus, Starobogatov et Streletzkaja [1967], stated that the gender of this name is feminine.
