What may be Liddon's sedge as seen on rocky outcrops around Jackman Park, Steens Mountain of southeastern Oregon............June 2, 2012. This is an elevation on Steens where the lower elevation Liddon's sedge and higher elevation dunhead sedge (Carex phaeocephala) overlap their range, and both are fairly similar in appearance. It would be good find mature perigynia and look at the ribbing on them as well as their length to facillitate an ID.
