Corallocarpus boehmii

Small vigorously-vining caudiciform cucurbit from Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Forms a branched and more or less bottle shaped caudex to 12cm in thickness. Easy to grow; trim back vines as needed. Barely water when dormant, i.e. when leafless in winter.

4.Indoors OK, Outdoors OK only if protected from winter rain.

Theoretically this one is as large as they get. Maybe that's why it then died… it must have read the description.
Divided leaves typical of cucurbits and looking very much like Kedrostis and other caudiciform cucurbit genera.
Red fruit in late winter.
Doing well in a greenhouse groundbed in temperate Auckland.
The other side of that big one.
