| Description |
Life zones and habitat: Alpine (12000 to 14000 ft.); talus slopes and scree, rock crevices. Endemic to high altitudes in Colorado. Plant: Very short, spreading perennial, 1/2 to 5 inches tall; somewhat hairy stems and foliage. Leaves: Basal leaves in a rosette, narrow oblanceolate to linear-oblanceolate, blades 1/4 to 1-1/4 inches long; 1 to 5 stem leaves, sessile, oblong to ovate or linear. Inflorescence: Racemes of 4 to 10 small, 4-petaled, bright yellow flowers 1/4-inch across with green, somewhat hairy sepals; no bracts. Bloom Period: July and August.
