A common spider across much of the southern
half of the UK, but the majority of Nottinghamshire
records have come from the Sherwood Forest area, although
records stretch from Attenborough NR in the south of the
county, to near Retford in the north. Lathys humilis
is usually found on the foliage of trees and bushes in a
variety of habitats including woodland, ornamental parks
and occasionally in gardens. A small and distinctly
marked spider, best found by beating the foliage of
evergreens such as Yew and Holly. |
