Lathys humilis (Blackwall, 1855)
A common spider across much of the southern half of the UK, but the majority of Nottinghamshire records have come from the Sherwood Forest area, although records stretch from Attenborough NR in the south of the county, to near Retford in the north. Lathys humilis is usually found on the foliage of trees and bushes in a variety of habitats including woodland, ornamental parks and occasionally in gardens. A small and distinctly marked spider, best found by beating the foliage of evergreens such as Yew and Holly.
