Trimming Bettie’s Kitty
This rare-ish photo of the iconic pinup model Bettie Page getting her pubic hair trimmed by a helpful photographer seems not to exist on the web in a sharper/better/bigger scan. Which is a pity:

Oh to be a fly on the wall and hear the banter during one of her photo shoots!
I only fairly recently discovered this photo. It’s not only now one of my favorite photos of Bettie, but it’s also one of my favorite sexy photos period!
Oh… and Bettie is of course one of (if not THE), my all-time favorite models…
There are of course many web postings of Bettie and ABOUT Bettie, but we just don’t really know enough about her.
We should ALL be privileged flies on the wall at her photo sessions.
And so many of the outtakes from her shoots were destroyed due to the silly suppression of the day.
Photographer Irving Klaw was forced to burn 8 out of 10 of his negatives due to Puritanical censorship, and Bettie went into retirement.
Fortunately, early feminist heroine Paula Klaw was able to save some of the images.
