Is this the rotifer that Eric talked about at the conference last year? I tried finding my original notes from the conference but cannot find them at the moment.

I got some crappy images using the scope in the lab today. I was in a hurry. Sorry for the poor quality. These rotifers are tiny, and are also very flattened in shape. There is a "wide" aspect, and a "thin" aspect. I managed to get some rough measurements from both angles. 100x: 100x, measured in the thin dimension: 400x, measured in the wide dimension and length:

Hi Jim, how are you doing with these? What food are you using, are they as easy as other more common types of rotifers?

The culture is still alive, but not thriving. I'm currently at MACNA 2013, and got some great tips from Matt Wittenrich on culturing them that I'll try once I get back home.

Hey Jim; Hope all is well. I have been researching both the C.Adriatica and Oithona Colcarva as possible prey items for Midas Blenny Larvae. L-type rotifers haven't worked on several occasions, larvae die in about first 48 hrs. I am going to try B. Rotundiformis I am gonna to order from ReedMariculture and give them a try. Wondering if your culture(s) of forementioned are doing? Have you been able to isolate them? And lastly, if they are thriving, would you please share some , or tell me where I could get some? Thanks. Rich from Miami

Jim--what were the tips (if you can tell us)? I think I may have found some of these in a larval "tank" of my Stenopus and want to try to get a culture going if I can.
