| This fine, small five-stone circle is located on a level shoulder on the north slopes of the Maughanaclea hills, overlooking the Owngar river valley. The circle is almost complete with the axial stone split, leans inwards. The stones range from 0.85m to 0.4m in height, 0.9m to 0.7m in width and 0.5m to 0.3m in depth. The internal measurement along main axis which is aligned ENE-WSW, is 2.5m. The standing stone Maughanaclea 1 is beside the circle to the SE. |
