Lying in its own little alcove on the side of a quiet country lane, this recumbent ogham stone is probably in its original position. It is known locally as 'The Giant's stone' and measures 1.5m in length, 0.48m in width, 0.25m in depth and has been dated by Ziegler to 400 - 550 AD. The script reads 'NETA-CARI NEGA CAGINI'. |
