Found in New Guinea in Pandanus and Metroxylon swamps at elevations around 500 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to close set, small, ovoid, longitudinally grooved pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, lanceolate, acute, midrib grooved above, keeled below leaf that blooms in the late fall and earlier winter on a fasciculate, erect, peduncle filiform, .48 to 1" [1.2 to 2.5 cm] long, provided at the base with several tubular acuminate sheaths, to 3” [to 7.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, keeled, subulate-acuminate floral bracts.
