Common Name Boyle's Cranichis [American Botanist current]

Found in Esmeralds Ecuador at elevations around 720 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a caulescent stem enveloped by distichous, imbricating , foliaceous sheaths occasionally branched from the base and carrying broadly elliptic, obtuse, narrowling below into a subpetiolate base leaves that blooms in the later fall on a terminla, elongate, peduncle to 3.2" [8 cm] long, rachis to 6" [15 cm] long, spirally arranged, many flowered inflorescence carrying green flowers with an orange line down the center of the lip.

Distinguished by the small plant with a short stem, the small green flowers with an orange stripe down the center of the obcordate, apically retuse lip, the callus of the lip composed with a pair of raised, erect, transverse lamellae near the base, the lack of a longitudinal keel and the presence of a shollow cavity towards the apex of the lip.
