Common Name or Meaning The Montane Liparis

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Java and Borneo usually on montane ridges in primary forests at elevations of 1000 to 2400 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cold growing terrestrial with an elliptic pseudobulb giving rise from the base a new pseduobulb in an ascending fashion and carrying a single apical leaf and a basal leaf both are pale shiny green, undulate margined, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 4" [10 cm] long, to 20 flowered inflorescence with persistent green floral bracts.
