Common Name or Meaning The Lita Pleurothallis [A town in northwestern Ecuador]

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Esmeraldas province of Ecuador in wet forests at elevations around 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, repent epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls with a tubular sheath below the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, ovate, acute, round below into the base leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, arising and concealed within a spathe, .08 to .12" [2 to 3 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular, as long as the ovary floral bracts.

CAUTION!! The type drawing is absolutely correct, the photo on the other hand appears correct to the flower but Luer's description says that it is a single flowered inflorescence held within the spathe, and the photo shows a successively flowering inflorescence without a spathe. SO PLEASE USE WITH CAUTION!!!!!
