Found in Antioquia department of Colombia and Ecuador at elevations around 2300 meters as a medium sized, cold growing epiphyte with a slender, erect ramicaul enveloped by a tubular sheath near the middle and another at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, lanceolate-oblong, acuminate, narrowing below int othe petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late summer and early fall on 2 to 4, very slender, secund, 6 to 8” [15 to 20 cm] long , laxly many flowered inflorescence with ovate-cucullate, acuminate floral bracts.
