| Pink Pappusgrass is an erect to spreading grass that can be found growing in sandy and gravelly soils of the South Texas Plains and Edwards Plateau. It can grow from 11 to 31 inches in height. It flowers from April to November and produces seeds with many bristly awns that are pink or light purple in color. The leaves are heavily veined, are 4 to 8 inches long, and have hairs on the sheath near the collar. The stem nodes are dark in color. Pink Pappusgrass has poor wildlife economic value and is fair for livestock. |
