Ancylocaris brevicarpalis Schenkel, 1902

Ancylocaris brevicarpalis is common at Kwajalein and associates with a number of sea anemones, including Cryptodendrum adhaesivum, Heteractis aurora, Actinodendron arboreum, A. plumosum, Heterodactyla hemprichii and Stichodactyla haddoni. A particular anemone often has a pair of the shrimp, a larger, beefier female that is often carrying eggs, and a more slender and smaller male.
