Nonsuppurative Panniculitis
Weber–christian disease, also known as relapsing febrile nodular nonsuppurative panniculitis, is a cutaneous condition characterized by recurrent subcutaneous nodules that heal with depression of the overlying skin. It is type of panniculitis. It is a rare disease seen in females 30–60 years of age.
SYMPTOMS
The lesions are often symmetric in distribution, and the thighs and legs are most commonly involved. Individual nodules regress over the course of a few weeks. Systemic symptoms of weber-christian disease include fever, malaise, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain,weight loss, bone pain, myalgia, and arthralgia.
CAUSES
Weber-christian disease can also cause symptoms other than in the skin, such as fever, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and joint pain. Occasionally, inflammation occurs in other organs of the body to cause heart, lung, kidney, liver, and/or spleen problems.
