Parvicursor was a very small alvarezsaur, only about 39 cm long, making it one of the smallest non-avian dinosaurs known. It lived in the Campanian age of the Late Cretaceous, between 83.6 and 72.1 million years ago. It was found in Khulsan, Mongolia, and is only known from one incomplete skeleton. It was closely related to Shuvuuia and Mononykus, having similar short and stubby forelimbs with a single large claw on each hand, allowing it to dig and maybe open touch termite mounds. It probably mainly used running to evade predators given its small size and lack of flying abilities.
