Psidium australe var. suffruticosum

Psidium australe, also known as Araçá Campestre, is a rare shrub found in Brazil's Campos region and southern São Paulo. It produces small greenish fruits that ripen to a gelatinous interior with numerous seeds. The plant is adaptable to different climates and soils, and its fruits can be eaten fresh or used for juices. Psidium australe is valuable for native bees and should be preserved and included in reforestation projects. Psidium australe var. suffruticosum has larger fruit with a slightly brighter skin.
