Duffy and Friends Play Days return for 2024 at Hong Kong Disneyland
Duffy and Friends Play Days, a seasonal celebration of Duffy the Disney Bear, is in full swing at Hong Kong Disneyland for 2024 with character experiences and merchandise for super fans and new friends alike.
This year’s Duffy and Friends Play Days at Hong Kong Disneyland Park and the resort’s onsite hotels take place through June 10, 2024.
The annual springtime event not only celebrates Duffy and his pals — ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, ‘Olu Mel, and LinaBell — but also their loyal fans.
To kick off the event, fans repped their favorite Duffy and Friends characters in the park.
Duffy and Friends Play House
At the Plaza Grounds, guests can visit Duffy and Friends Play House to meet some of the gang in new spring costumes.

New and Returning Live Entertainment
A new stage show, “The Joy of Sharing,” performs in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams. The production features Duffy and Friends going on a picnic in their new spring fits.
During “Sharing Is Sweet,” also new, CookieAnn and a rotating roster of one of her friends surprise guests on Main Street, U.S.A.
In partnership with the Hong Kong Ballet, Hong Kong Disneyland will once again present “StellaLou’s Wonderful Wishes Ballet.” The 30-minute show will perform April 5 – May 5, 2024, inside Disney’s Storybook Theater in Fantasyland.
Duffy and Friends Food
Among the vast selection of limited-time food available during Duffy and Friends Play Days 2024 are CookieAnn’s waffle marshmallow and Duffy and Friends donuts at Main Street Market, along with peach-flavored soft serve at Midtown Delights.
Additionally, the Duffy and Friends Taste of Spring tea set is available at World of Color Restaurant at Disney Explorers Lodge.
Duffy and Friends Merchandise
As part of the celebration, Hong Kong Disneyland launched several merchandise lines. New Duffy collections commemorate spring and Easter, and an additional Duffy line is dubbed “Sugarland.” Joining in on the springtime merch are friends from the Hundred Acre Woods, in the new Pooh Honey Lemon collection.

Duffy Activities at Hotels
Guests can participate in hands-on activities during Duffy and Friends Play Days at Disney’s onsite resort hotels. These include a jewelry box workshop at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, a cookie decorating class at Disney Explorer Lodge, and a balloon workshop at both hotels.
Additionally, during Disney Little Explorer Mega Adventure (offered March 28 – April 7, 2024 at Disney Explorers Lodge), young guests can complete a quest with the help of a Disney pal.

More Duffy and Friends
Duffy and Friends appear in person at several Disney destinations worldwide, and they’re gradually making their way into various Disney media, as well.
A few years ago, they starred in a stop-motion YouTube short film (below).
Last holiday season, Duffy greeted guests at Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, marking a rare appearance for the character in America.
Looking ahead, Duffy will appear on “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” in multiple episodes when the series relaunches on Disney Junior.
World of Frozen also New at Hong Kong Disneyland
Duffy and Friends Play Days aren’t the only new and notable sights at Hong Kong Disneyland. World of Frozen opened in late 2023, juxtaposing the fictional realm of Arendelle alongside Hong Kong’s real mountains. The area features the Frozen Ever After boat ride and the Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs kiddie coaster.
