Valenciennea strigata

Face yellow, turquoise head stripe.

Size : 18 cm

Habitat : Usually on sand and rubble, also on hard ground, in clear lagoons and outreefs, 1-20 m. Monogamous, almost always in pairs, glide a short distance above the seabed. Shared burrow in hard or soft ground.

Distribution : East Africa to SW Japan, Micronesia, Line Islands, SE Australia and French Polynesia.
