Biography
Baker was born on July 15, 1956. His professional experience includes working as the director of a mortgage and refinance business and serving as a teacher and coach at T.R. Miller High School. He has been on the board of directors for the American Red Cross of Escambia County, Brewton Area Young Men's Christian Association, Children's Advocacy Center, and Habitat for Humanity. He has been a member of the Brewton Kiwanis Club, Escambia County Retired Educators Association, and the First Baptist Church of Brewton.[1]

Elections for the Alabama House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014; a runoff election took place where necessary on July 15, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 7, 2014. Incumbent Alan Baker was unopposed in the Republican primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4][5]

Baker won re-election to the 66th District seat in 2010. He had no opposition.[6]

On November 7, 2006, Baker was elected to the District 66 seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent F. P. White (D).[7]
