Return Policy

To protect the provenance of delivered wines, exchange and returns are not allowed.

Corked Wines

While we make every attempt to provide wines of good quality and provenance, we cannot guarantee the personal 'drinkability' for every bottle we sell. It is the industry standard that older wines are purchased "as is" and at the buyer's risk as to the drinkability of the wine. This policy includes "corked" wines (those tainted with TCA and smell of wet cardboard). This wine fault occurred during the cork selection process and is completely out of our control. For the aforementioned reasons, no refund or exchange will be granted.

Crozes-Hermitage is an appellation of the northern Rhône valley in France. It covers a relatively large area on the eastern bank of the river, to the north and south of Tain L'Hermitage town. It is near the prestigious Hermitage appellation which it surrounds, both in area and in terms of production volume.

Louis PASQUION , great-grandfather of Gilles ROBIN, bought the first plots, comprising 1.27 ha, in 1920. His desire was to produce a wine for his personal consumption. A wine lover, he made no mistake about the choice of terroir for this first plot because the quality of the grapes from this vine is, in good and great years, worthy of the best Hermitages. Gilles Robin took over the running of this vineyard in 1996, with the freedom to produce his own wines.

Born in 1972, Gilles has always followed the work in the vineyards with his father. The vine has always been his passion, Syrah is his predilection. After his oenology studies in Montpellier, he went to vinify for 3 years for an estate in Haute-Savoie where he advised wine estates to gain experiences complementary to that of the estate. With a history dedicated, for three generations, to the love of Syrah and the art of blending terroirs, it was in 1996, at only 24 years old, that Michel passed the torch to Gilles. Gilles’ vineyard now extends to Saint Joseph (where he makes a tiny volume) and Hermitage. The core vineyard averages forty years old, and the wines gain in subtlety and balance with every vintage. Organic certification since 2009.
