Description:
Early 20th-century pseudo-science at its finest! Determine a person's character from the shape of their nose or the color of their hair! Rely on lazy and offensive stereotypes! "An Exact Science"!Blue cloth cover with gilt letters; gilt at top of text block. Gift inscription dated 1923. Multiple B&W line drawings and 74 B&W photographic plates.Cover is worn and stained, with bumping at right top corner of front cover. Binding is broken with significant cracking at both endpapers. Pages are age tanned with stains and some bent corners. Text has been underlined and in some cases X'd out (when it proved less than exact, perhaps?), although it is still legible.
