Ernesto Neto is a Brazilian artist born in 1964 who creates monumental and immersive installations tackling our physical relationship to space and material. His work draws on biomorphism, minimalist sculpture, as well as neo-concretism and avant-garde movements of the 1960’s-70’s.

In his work, Ernesto Neto resorts to organic and sensual shapes and his installations requests visitors’ all five senses. He often uses organic materials such as spices, sand or shells. Neto’s interactive installations enable visitors to experiment with their own sense of self.
