UPDATE 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022: We just heard from Mr. Strumlauf’s attorney, Adi Allushi, who states that Scott Strumlauf is unharmed. However, Boca Raton Police continue to dodge questions about the event, and Mr. Allushi would not answer questions. We have an update to the story here.

BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) (7 p.m. Monday, July 11, 2022) — We are concerned about noted nightclub owner Scott Strumlauf. Despite several messages left by BocaNewsNow.com, the owner of Tongue and Groove Nightclub in Atlanta’s Buckhead District has not responded to us ever since there was a murder-suicide at his mother’s home on Sunday on NW 3rd Terrace.

Boca Raton Police, inexplicably, continue to block the name of the killer, claiming Florida’s Marsy’s Law protects the identity of a dead person who is also a murderer. Their bizarre claim: identifying a killer would identify a victim. There is no other police department — except maybe Uvalde — that has made such an off-beat claim when it comes to not releasing public information.

Boca Raton Police officials are also not releasing the name of the victim. But sources tell BocaNewsNow.com that those involved were — or are — family members of the house owner, Nadine Strumlauf. Strumlauf’s son, according to public records, is Scott Strumlauf who owns Tongue and Groove in Atlanta. He’s 55 years old and once listed the address of the murder scene — 5500 NW 3rd Terrace — as his home address. His current address is in Atlanta.
