BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2022 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — It has now been four days since the murder-suicide at 5500 NW 3rd Terrace in Boca Raton, and the Boca Raton Police Department is still covering up the identities of those involved and the specific actions taken by responding officers.

Boca Raton Police officials, potentially violating public records laws, continue to block public access to the identity of the murderer, claiming that ”Marsy’s Law” protects the gunman from being identified. Marsy’s Law, created to protect victims from being located and victimized again by the attacker, does not have a carve-out for dead killers. Boca Raton City Attorney Diana Frieser has refused to answer BocaNewsNow.com’s questions about her interpretation of the law. She is cited by multiple sources as the person blocking the information from being released. We note that Frieser is also allegedly responsible for the City’s claim that two police officers who shot a man suffering a psychotic condition several months ago were the true ”victims,” and therefore shielded from being identified. She is welcome to respond at any time.

The Strumlauf Family

Using social media and public records, we are now looking at members of the Strumlauf family so that our readers understand who may or may not have been involved in the incident that shut down a street, required massive manpower and police equipment, and sent fear of an active shooter through part of the City of Boca Raton. We have no idea who is dead and who pulled the trigger. We have no idea who was in the house at 5500 NW 3rd Terrace at the time of the incident Sunday afternoon. We do know that family members were involved. We are not implicating anyone, the same way the City of Boca Raton — by blocking information — doesn’t want the public to rule anyone out

The home that served as the scene of the murder-suicide is owned by Nadine Strumlauf. She is now approximately 92 years old, according to public records, and owns the home as part of the ”Nadine Strumlauf Trust.” She purchased the home for $225,000 in November of 1984. The Palm Beach County Property Appraiser now values the home at $317,000. Redfin estimates the market value to be nearly $1M.

Nadine is an occasional user of social media, infrequently republishing conservative-skewing talking points. Her last post was April of 2021 when someone using her name posted about Marjorie Taylor Greene calling for Maxine Waters to be expelled from Congress. Sources say that Nadine Strumlauf is hospitalized and was not present at the house during the time of the shooting where other family members were visiting to celebrate her birthday.

SCOTT STRUMLAUF

Scott Strumlauf, according to his attorney, was also not involved. Scott Strumlauf owns Tongue and Groove Nightclub in Atlanta’s Buckhead district. He is seen in the photo above. Strumlauf, as we reported, did not respond to multiple requests for information from BocaNewsNow.com, and has still not made contact with our newsroom. His attorney, roughly a day after we first sought comment from him, told us that he is alive and fine.

“I don’t have anything else to add at this time,” wrote attorney Adi Allushi. ”I will be in touch if anything changes. Please take down or update the article as now you are aware Mr. Strumlauf is unharmed.”

It is unknown whether Scott Strumlauf was in Boca Raton at the time of the murder-suicide. Now a resident of Atlanta, Strumlauf once listed the 5500 NW 3rd Terrace address as his home address. A call to Tongue and Groove Nightlcub two days after the incident led to someone answering the phone claiming that they ”had just seen” Strumlauf at the club in Atlanta, but that person didn’t know where he was at the time of our call.

POLICE REPORTS, OFFICER RESPONSE, ALL BLOCKED…

BocaNewsNow.com has requested police reports, a list of officers called to the scene, and related information about the incident. The City of Boca Raton, as of 8:55 a.m. Thursday, remains uncharacteristically non-responsive. A source within the State Attorney’s Office says the office has received no information about the incident from the City of Boca Raton. While a dead gunman leaves no one to be charged, a source says that it is ”unusual” that police would not have provided a preliminary set of facts to the SAO following a high-profile death and injury case.

In our next update, we will learn and share more about the Strumlauf family. If you have anonymous news tips, text 561-576-NEWS, or use our news tip form below.
