Great News! The City is now receiving NAWS water! If you notice a chlorine smell for a few days - that is normal & will go away. Water softeners will no longer be needed!

Our siren system will have a "straight" tone sound to it when being sounded for a tornado or other disaster. If it is to alert the fire dept. it will have a "varied" up & down tone to it. Please call the City Office 228-3232 if you have questions.

Remember that the City Armory is an emergency shelter facility. If we have power outages, tornados or other disasters the building will be open to the public for shelter.

In the event of a snow storm, please have all vehicles removed from the streets by 3:00 a.m. as snow removal will most likely start in the early morning. Vehicles left on the street are subject to fines & towing. Thank you for your assistance!

Snow Removal Policy: Areas that will recieve snow removal first are by the Hospital, Ambulance, Sheriff's Office & Fire Hall. After that the downtown business district is done & then the residentials areas are rotated. Thank you!

Please have your sump pumps drain to the street or curb and not going back into the sanitary sewer system. Doing this overburdens our lagoon system & can cause sewer backups into homes! Call Keith at shop for more info: 228-3620

Pay your utility bill with credit card! We are now able to accept credit cards for Utility Bills. Search under the "Helpful Links" section of our web site for access. There is a fee that will be charged to your card for using this service.
