This 1923 Ford Model T truck was purchased by the seller in 2011, reportedly from its previous owner of 55 years. Ensuing rebuilds of the 177ci inline-four and two-speed planetary-gear transmission were completed in September 2013 and including overboring the engine and replacing the crankshaft and pistons. The truck is finished in black with a wood cab and cargo bed over red vinyl upholstery, and features include an electric starter, Kevlar transmission bands, a MotoMeter radiator cap, cowl lamps, 21″ wood spoke wheels, a toolbox, and a tilting “fat man” steering wheel. This Model T truck is now offered with factory literature, tools, invoices for the engine and transmission rebuilds, and a clean Massachusetts title in the seller’s name.

The hood, fenders, and firewall on the truck are finished in black, while a custom C-cab-style wood cab and cargo bed have been fitted. Equipment includes a MotoMeter radiator cap, cowl lamps, a split windshield, a driver-side mirror, running boards, a tool box, and a central taillight. Repairs to the wood bodywork and black top panel were performed under previous ownership.

The black-painted wood-spoke wheels wear brass Ford hubcaps and steel rims, and they are mounted with 4.40/4.50-21 Denman bias-ply whitewall tires. A spare rim with a Firestone tire is included in the sale. The truck rides on a 124″ wheelbase, and the suspension consists of transverse leaf springs front and rear. Stopping power is supplied by a band acting on a drum in the transmission.

The tilt-forward “fat man” steering wheel sits ahead of column-mounted control levers for the throttle and spark advance. Pedals for the forward gears, reverse, and brake are mounted on the floor, and the lone gauge is an ammeter. No odometer is present. The seller estimates adding 300 miles over 12 years of ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 177ci inline-four was rebuilt by Connecticut Antique Engine Restoration of North Franklin, Connecticut, in 2013. Work included repairing a crack in and magnafluxing the block as well as boring the cylinders .060″ over. Hardened valve seats were installed, as were a new crankshaft and replacement pistons, rings, valves, and gaskets. An oil change was performed in August 2023, at which time a replacement six-volt battery was installed. Corrosion is noted around the engine area frame.
