This 1959 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertible was reportedly the subject of a refurbishment completed in 2016 during prior ownership. The car is finished in Seminole Red over a red and white interior, and it is equipped with a 390ci V8 paired with a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a power-operated white convertible top, triple carburetors, power-assisted steering, and air conditioning as well as power-assisted drum brakes, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, power windows, and a push-button AM radio. Acquired in 2022 by the selling dealer, this Eldorado Biarritz convertible is offered in Florida with paint-matched parade boot covers and a transferable New York registration document.
The Biarritz trim level specified bright trim that curved from the rear quarter panel along the upper beltline. This example was finished in Seminole Red (50) when new, and a repaint was commissioned during the refurbishment according to the selling dealer. Additional touches include quad headlamps, rear fender skirts, upright fins, and dual-bullet tail lights. A body-color three-piece parade boot accompanies the sale.
The power-operated white convertible soft top is shown raised in the gallery below. Steel wheels measure 15″ in diameter and are fitted with full covers as well as wide-whitewall tires. Braking is from power-assisted drums at all four corners.
Replacement two-tone seat upholstery is accompanied by a color-coordinated padded dashboard top and door panels accented with polished trim. The front bucket seats feature power adjustment for the driver, and further amenities include power windows as well as an AM radio and an Autronic Eye headlight dimmer in the center of the dash.
The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 154 miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown.
The 390ci V8 breathes through three two-barrel carburetors and was factory rated at 345 horsepower and 435 lb-ft of torque. Features include a painted air cleaner assembly and valve covers. Per the selling dealer, the air conditioning blower switch was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic transmission. Additional photos of the underside are included in the gallery below.
