This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS was delivered new to Looney Chevrolet in Kingsport, Tennessee, and was refurbished by Legendary Motorcar Company of Halton Hills, Ontario in 2013. The car is finished in Cranberry Red with white stripes over a red vinyl interior and powered by a numbers-matching 454ci LS6 V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 14” SS wheels, a cowl induction hood, the F41 Special Performance suspension package, a front bench seat, a Muncie shifter, a Delco AM radio, and a Positraction rear axle. Acquired by the owner in 2016, this Chevelle SS 454 is now offered on their behalf with an owner’s manual, literature, a build sheet, and Rhode Island registration.

The body was reportedly refinished in Cranberry Red (75) with white stripes by Legendary Motorcar Company in 2013. Equipment includes Vigilite lamp indicators, a cowl induction hood secured with pins, chrome bumpers and trim, SS 454 badging, and dual exhaust outlets.

Painted 14” Super Sport wheels wear chrome trim rings and are wrapped in white-letter Goodyear Polyglas tires. Braking is from power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and additional factory equipment includes power steering and the F41 Special Performance suspension package, which added a larger front sway bar, a rear sway bar, and boxed front control arms.

The interior is upholstered in red vinyl and features front and rear bench seats. Equipment includes a heater, a Muncie shifter, and a Delco AM radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, an ammeter, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows just over 4,400 miles, though the total mileage is unknown.

The 454ci LS6 V8 was factory rated at 450 horsepower and drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.31:1 Positraction rear end. A Rhode Island vehicle inspection was carried out in November 2021.
