This 1981 BMW R80 G/S is finished in white with light and dark blue graphics and is powered by a 798cc opposed twin paired with a five-speed transmission. Equipment includes an enclosed driveshaft, a two-up seat, a Wilburs monoshock, a rear grab handle, a front disc brake, a dual exhaust system, black engine guards, twin Bing carburetors, kick and electric starters, hand guards, high-mounted fenders, and both center and side stands. The bike is said to have spent time in New England before being acquired by the seller in 2021. Service in preparation for sale included adjusting the valves, torquing the cylinder head bolts, changing the oil, flushing the brake and final drive fluids, and replacing the left-side headpipe and the battery. This R80 G/S is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, a tool kit, and a clean South Carolina title in the seller’s name.

The bike is finished in white with blue, light blue, and red graphics over a black twin-downtube steel frame. Equipment includes a black two-up seat, a rear grab handle, a 5.3-gallon fuel tank, black engine guards, hand guards, round mirrors, high-mounted fenders, and both center and side stands.

Wire-spoke wheels measuring 21″ up front and 18″ out back wear IRC Trails GP-1 tires. Suspension consists of a leading-axle fork with black gaiters as well as a Wilburs monoshock attached to the single-sided swingarm, which doubles as the driveshaft enclosure. Braking is handled by a single disc with a Brembo caliper up front and a drum at the rear. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for sale.

MotoMeter instrumentation consists of a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline and an 85-mph speedometer. The ignition switch and indicator lights are mounted to the right of the speedometer. The five-digit odometer shows 3,400 miles, approximately 250 of which were ridden by the seller.

The air-cooled 798cc opposed twin is equipped with twin Bing carburetors and both kick and electric starters. Factory-rated output was 50 horsepower and 42 lb-ft of torque. Service in preparation for sale included replacing the left headpipe on the two-into-one upswept exhaust system, installing an Odyssey battery, changing the oil, adjusting the valves, and torquing the cylinder head bolts.
