This 1993 Kawasaki ZR1100 Zephyr is powered by an air-cooled 1,062cc DOHC inline-four mated to a five-speed transmission and is finished in red over a black tubular steel frame. Equipment includes a stepped two-up seat, adjustable KYB piggyback-reservoir shocks, multi-spoke alloy wheels, triple disc brakes, quadruple Keihin carburetors, a four-into-two exhaust system, and both center and side stands. The current owner acquired the bike in 2019, reportedly from its second owner, and service in April 2022 is said to have included cleaning the carburetors and changing the oil. This ZR1100 Zephyr is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of its current owner with a service manual, a period brochure, and a clean Minnesota title in the owner’s name.
The 4.8-gallon fuel tank, front fender, tail section, and side covers are finished in red and mounted over a black tubular steel frame. Features include a stepped two-up seat, a color-keyed rear grab bar, folding passenger foot pegs, a chrome-trimmed headlight bucket and turn signals, and both center and side stands.
Multi-spoke alloy wheels with black-finished centers measure 18″ up front and 17″ out back and are mounted with Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmart III tires. Stopping power is provided by multi-piston Tokico calipers gripping a pair of cross-drilled discs up front and a single cross-drilled disc out back. KYB suspension components include a 43mm conventional telescopic fork as well as a pair of preload- and rebound-adjustable piggyback-reservoir shocks mounted to the swingarm. The fork seals are said to have been replaced in July 2018.
The chrome handlebar is equipped with a pair of round mirrors and bar-end weights and is mounted to the upper triple clamp via risers. Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 9,500-rpm redline, a central fuel level gauge, and indicator lights for the turn signals. The inset five-digit odometer shows 53 miles, a handful of which were ridden under current ownership.
The air-cooled 1,062cc DOHC inline-four features an oil cooler, two valves per cylinder, and two spark plugs per cylinder. The intake boots are said to have been replaced in July 2018, and service in April 2022 included changing the oil and cleaning the quadruple 34mm Keihin carburetors. Close-up photos provided in the gallery depict scrapes and dents on the four-into-two exhaust system.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a five-speed transmission and a drive chain with a silver-finished guard.
