This 1999 Yamaha YZF-R1 is finished in red, white, and black over a Deltabox II aluminum frame and is powered by a 998cc DOHC inline-four paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes a full fairing, a Scotts hydraulic steering damper, 17″ aluminum wheels, triple disc brakes, aluminum clip-on handlebars, rear-set foot controls, and a four-into-one exhaust system with an FMF slip-on muffler as well as a one-piece tail section with a black solo seat and passenger pillion. The motorcycle spent time in California before it was acquired by the current owner in 2016, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. This R1 is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with the removed muffler, a Carfax report, and a Georgia title.
The bodywork is finished in a red, white, and black livery over a Deltabox II aluminum frame. Features include a full fairing with a smoked windscreen, dual halogen headlights, and dual mirrors as well as a side stand, rear-set foot controls, folding passenger foot pegs, and a one-piece tail section with a black solo seat, a passenger pillion, and dual round taillights.
Three-spoke 17″ cast-aluminum wheels are finished in black and are wrapped in 120/70 front and 190/55 rear Dunlop Sportmax Q3 tires with production date codes from 2015. Adjustable suspension consists of an inverted 41mm telescopic fork with a forged-aluminum lower clamp as well as a piggyback monoshock mounted to the truss-type aluminum swingarm. Stopping power is provided by a pair of four-piston calipers mounted over dual floating rotors up front in addition to a two-piston caliper mounted over a drilled disc at the rear.
Aluminum clip-on handlebars with bar-end weights are secured beneath the top triple clamp, and an adjustable Scotts steering stabilizer is mounted atop the steering neck. The instrument cluster houses a tachometer, a row of indicator lamps, and an LCD screen with readouts for speed, time, and temperature. The digital odometer shows 16k miles, approximately 3k of which were ridden under current ownership. The Carfax report shows that a “Not Actual Mileage” branded title was issued in July 2004. Total mileage is unknown.
The liquid-cooled 998cc DOHC inline-four features a quartet of 40mm Mikuni CV downdraft carburetors, a five-valve cylinder head with a magnesium valve cover, and Yamaha’s Exhaust Ultimate Power (EXUP) valve system as well as a digital TC ignition module, an aluminum oil cooler, and a four-into-one exhaust system fitted with an FMF PowerCore S slip-on muffler. Factory-rated output was 150 horsepower. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a multi-plate wet clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
The Carfax report displays no accidents or other damage and lists history in California and Georgia. The report also shows that a “Not Actual Mileage” title was issued by the state of California in July 2004.
