This 2006 Lotus Elise is finished in Laser Blue over black cloth upholstery and shows 28k miles. The car was sold new by Park Place LTD in Bellevue, Washington and was acquired by the seller in November 2015 from a dealer in Atlanta, Georgia. Power comes from a 1.8-liter Toyota 2ZZGE inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Alterations include an upgraded stereo system, aftermarket exhaust, Difflow rear diffuser, and a smaller rearview mirror. The seller recently had the wheels powdercoated, mounted new tires, changed the oil, and replaced the steering wheel. This Lotus is now offered with a clean Carfax report, the removed rearview mirror, a Lotus-branded weather-resistant car cover, tool bag, two keys/fobs, and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
US-spec Elises received several factory updates for the 2006 model year including LED taillights, while the dual-exit aftermarket exhaust and Difflow rear diffuser can be seen above. Further pictures of the Laser Blue finish are shown in the gallery below. Photos of known flaws also are provided, including stone chips on the nose and in front of the rear wheels, scrapes on the lower front bumper edges, a misaligned engine cover, and a crack in the fiberglass around the driver’s mirror. Both side-view mirrors reportedly have a tendency to come loose and lose their position. The factory roll-up soft top is included.
In June 2019 the seller had the factory 16″ front and 17″ rear alloy wheels refinished and powdercoated, after which they were mounted with 195/50 front and 225/45 rear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires showing 2016 date codes. Each corner is shown in the gallery.
For the 2006 model year, US-spec Elises were equipped with ProBax bucket seats, an upgrade over the 2005 cars. Interior modifications under current ownership include installation of a smaller rearview mirror, removal of the sun visors, and fitment of a factory replacement steering wheel. The removed sun visors and mirror accompany the sale. The seller states that the interior dome light is not connected and that new rubber seals between the side windows and mirrors will be installed by the seller for the next owner.
An upgraded sound system consists of an Alpine CD/MP3/Bluetooth head unit, JL Audio speakers, a Fast Toys enclosure for a JL Audio 8″ subwoofer, and an Alpine amplifier mounted behind the passenger seat. The surrounds for the climate controls and air vents were painted Laser Blue under previous ownership, and blue-bordered floor mats round out the theme. The digital odometer shows just under 28k miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller.
A midship 1.8-liter Toyota 2ZZGE inline-four sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The seller changed the oil, cleaned the MAF sensor, and fitted a new K&N air filter in June 2019. The left-hand rear clamshell mounting point—just behind the driver’s door latch—has cracked and is not attached, and a picture of the affected area is provided in the gallery. It is also noted that the battery will drain if the car sits for multiple weeks.
Overspray is noted in the rear wheel-well area on the struts, wheel-speed sensor wires, and undertray. Additional underside pictures are displayed in the gallery.
The Carfax report is free of accidents and other issues, and it shows ownership in Washington, Georgia, Mississippi, and North Carolina. A driving video is shown below:
