This 2016 Ducati Monster 1200 R is finished in red with white and silver accents and is powered by a liquid-cooled 1,198cc Testastretta L-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. Equipment includes a single-sided swingarm, a two-up seat, a removable rear cowl, a flyscreen, a slipper clutch, carbon-fiber trim, 17″ Marchesini forged wheels, Brembo disc brakes, and an adjustable Öhlins steering damper and suspension components along with the Ducati Safety Pack’s selectable riding modes, traction control, and ABS. Termignoni carbon-fiber slip-on mufflers have been installed and the ECU has been correspondingly reprogrammed with a Ducati DDS map-key. The bike was acquired by the selling dealer in April 2022, and work performed in preparation for the sale included replacing the battery and flushing the brake fluid. This Monster 1200 R has four miles and is now offered at no reserve with a clean Florida title.
The bodywork is finished in red with white and silver accents over a body-color steel trellis frame. The bike features a carbon-fiber front fender and trim, and additional equipment includes a clear flyscreen, a side stand, a Ducati-branded protection pad on the fuel tank, dual mirrors on aluminum stalks, and a two-up seat with a removable cowl for the passenger section.
Marchesini 17″ forged aluminum wheels wear 120/70 front and 190/55 rear Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tires. Adjustable Öhlins suspension consists of a 43mm inverted fork as well as a piggyback monoshock spanning the single-sided aluminum swingarm and the upper mount on the engine. Brembo anti-lock braking components include a radial master cylinder, dual 330mm rotors, and radial-mount four-piston calipers up front along with a 245mm rotor and two-piston caliper at the rear. The brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
The black-finished handlebar is equipped with Brembo master cylinders and Ducati Performance folding levers, all secured to the top triple clamp via a riser with an attachment point for the adjustable Öhlins steering damper. The digital dashboard features a full-color TFT display that includes a digital speedometer, an arcing bar-style tachometer, and a gear indicator as well as integrated readouts for the eight-level traction control, three-level ABS, and three riding modes. The digital odometer indicates four miles.
The liquid-cooled 1,198cc Testastretta 11° L-Twin features 56mm elliptical throttle bodies, belt-driven double-overhead camshafts, four valves per cylinder, and a two-into-one-into-two exhaust system with Termignoni carbon-fiber mufflers and a correspondingly-reprogrammed ECU. The selling dealer replaced the battery and changed the oil in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheel through a wet multi-plate slipper clutch, a six-speed transmission, and a drive chain.
