Biography

AS A REDSHIRT SENIOR (2021-22 SEASON): Utilized the additional season of eligibility provided by the NCAA due to the COVID-19 pandemic...played in a total of 17 games, making 13 starts...his scoring average of 10.0 points per game was second on the team...his 6.9 per game rebounding average led the Bulldogs...made his season debut Jan. 13 due to a tibial plateau fracture in his left knee that he sustained in August...led the team in scoring in three games and led the Bulldogs in rebounding eight times...scored 25 points, his most in a Butler uniform, Feb. 23 at Seton Hall...that was one of two games where he scored more than 20 points (also had 22 on 4-of-7 three-point shooting against St. John's Feb. 5)...pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds March 10 against Providence in the BIG EAST Tournament quarterfinals...also had 11 rebounds vs. Marquette Feb. 12...those games were his two double-doubles on the season...had nine games in double figures...his 10 blocks were second on the team...averaged 28.6 minutes per game...shot 40 percent from the field...made 19 of his 59 attempts from three-point range (32 percent)...scored 17 points at Providence Jan. 23 in his first start of the season.

AS A SENIOR (2020-21): Made his Butler debut Jan. 30 against Xavier after being awarded immediate eligibility by the NCAA...played in a total of nine games...missed three games due to injury near the end of the season (calf) while being limited in minutes in several others...averaged 8.2 points and 6.0 rebounds per game...scored in double figures four times and had two games with double-digit rebounds...led the team in rebounding three times and in scoring once...started five of the nine games he appeared in, averaging 28.8 minutes per game...posted his lone double-double of the season in his second game in a Butler uniform (Feb. 2 at Marquette); his 12 rebounds tied a career-high (to go along with a season-high 15 points)...also had a career-best eight assists in that contest...had 10 rebounds in the Feb. 6 win over DePaul.

Transferred to Butler following the 2019-20 season. 

AS A JUNIOR AT EAST TENNESSEE STATE (2019-20 SEASON):
First-team All-Southern Conference selection by the league’s head coaches (second-team honors by the media)…finalist for the Lute Olson National Player of the Year Award by CollegeInsider.com…earned NABC second team all-district honors…led ETSU to a school-record 30 wins (30-4) and SoCon regular season and tournament championships prior to the NCAA Tournament being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic as ETSU was on a 12-game winning streak…became the 42nd player in program history to reach the 1,000-point club as he accomplished the feat in the first half of ETSU’s win over Wofford in the SoCon title game March 9, 2020…started all 33 games he appeared in…scored in double figures in 23 games…led the Bucs in scoring seven times…averaged 12.7 points per game, which was second on the team and 18th in the SoCon…his 5.8 rebounds per game tied for second on the team…shot 50 percent from the field…averaged 29.9 minutes per game…third on the team in assists with 84 (2.5 per game)…second on the team in blocks (26) and third in steals (47)…finished in the Top 15 in the SoCon in steals (tied for seventh), rebounding (tenth), field goal percentage (11th), blocks (12th) and assists (13th)…had three 20-plus scoring performances, including a career-high 27 points in the win over Chattanooga Jan. 25…also had eight rebounds, season-high five steals, two assists and two blocks in that game, earning his first SoCon Player of the Week Award, as he became just the seventh Division I player since 2010-11 to register those stats in a game according to Sports-Reference.com…scored 22 points at Kansas Nov. 19…scored 23 points at North Dakota State Dec. 7…registered his second career double-double after finishing with 14 points and 11 rebounds in the win over UNC-Greensboro Feb 1…pulled down nine or more rebounds five times during the season…led the team in rebounding in nine games…had three or more steals in seven games…had five or more assists five times…only player in the country to post at least 420 points, 190 rebounds, 80 assists, 45 steals and 25 blocks according to Sports-Reference.com.

AS A SOPHOMORE AT EAST TENNESSEE STATE (2018-19 SEASON): Earned third team All-SoCon honors from both the coaches and media as ETSU went 24-10…played in 29 games (starting 27), while missing four games in November due to injury…averaged 25.7 minutes per game…finished fourth on the team in scoring (10.3 points per game) and third in rebounding (4.4)…shot 48 percent from the field…his 74 assists and 32 steals were both third on the team…had 22 blocks, which tied for second on the team…scored in double figures 15 times…his two 20-point performances included his first career double-double after finishing with season-highs of 26 points and 12 rebounds on Feb. 21 at VMI…it was his only game leading the team in scoring…also had 20 points against Western Carolina March 2…tabbed MVP of the Sun Bowl after averaging 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists, while shooting 67 percent from the field (10-15) in wins over Wyoming (Dec. 21) and Norfolk State (Dec. 22)…had 18 points, eight rebounds and a season-high six assists against The Citadel Feb. 14…led the team in rebounding four times, including posting double-digit rebounds in two games…pulled down 10 rebounds at Samford Jan. 31…had five or more assists in four games…had a season-high three blocks against UNC-Greensboro Jan. 19…had nine games with multiple steals.

AS A FRESHMAN AT EAST TENNESSEE STATE (2017-18 SEASON): Named SoCon Freshman of the Year by the league’s coaches and an All-Freshman Team pick by both the coaches and media...finished fourth on the team in scoring at 9.0 points per game…shot 51 percent from the field…his 3.5 rebounds per game were fifth on the team…his 22 blocks were second on the team, while his 26 steals were fifth…played in 32 of the team’s 33 games (missing one due to injury) and had four starts…averaged 21.2 minutes per game…ETSU went 25-9 on the season…led the team in scoring twice and in rebounding twice…scored in double figures 11 times, including a season-high 20 points in the win over Fordham Nov. 29…scored 19 points and had a season-best nine rebounds in the win over The Citadel Jan. 29…scored a game-high 18 points in the win over Hiwassee College Dec. 10, putting together a remarkable 113-second stretch where he had 13 points, four dunks, two layups, two steals and a free throw.

HIGH SCHOOL: Back-to-back 2016 and 2017 Class AA Mr. Basketball in the state of Tennessee out of Maplewood High School…led his high school team to a 2017 state championship and was named the TSSAA State Tournament MVP...first-team all-district, all-region and all-state selection during both his senior and junior campaigns…averaged 26.3 points, 14.2 rebounds, 4.3 steals, 3.0 blocks and 7.3 assists per game his senior season for head coach Ty Wilson…finished his high school career with over 2,000 points, 1,800 rebounds, 300 blocked shots, 500 steals and 700 assists...played AAU basketball for the Tennessee Legends and was coached by his father, Bo Hodges, Sr…multi-sport standout in high school who excelled in basketball, football, and track and field.

PERSONAL: Son of Bo Sr. and Monique Hodges...has seven siblings, Bobo, Mimi, Jailen, Tiffany, Tierra, Portia, and Junior.
