Solution

The correct option is D A: spermiogenesis, B: spermiation
Spermatogenesis is the process of the formation of sperms. It includes the formation of spermatids and the transformation of spermatids into spermatozoa. Spermatids are nearly spherical in structure, which undergoes modification by spermiogenesis. The spermatids are transformed into spermatozoa (sperms) by the process called spermiogenesis. Spermiogenesis include condensation and elongation of the nucleus, development of the flagellum, formation of acrosome, etc.

After spermiogenesis, sperm heads become embedded in the Sertoli cells and finally released from the seminiferous tubules by the process called spermiation.
