90210 star AnnaLynne McCord has landed her next TV role in soap Days of Our Lives.

The star rose to fame playing Naomi Clark for all five seasons of The CW drama 90210, from 2008 to 2013, but now, she's swapping Beverly Hills for Salem in her new role.

According to Deadline, McCord's Days of Our Lives character will be Marin, a “fascinating and complicated woman who is devastatingly beautiful, almost angelic in her outward appearance.

"The desire of many but her heart belongs to only one man who continues to push her away for her own good.”

McCord's character will reportedly appear on the programme later on in 2024.

Days of Our Lives is one of the world's longest running soap operas, having first debuted in 1965, and airing nearly every weekday since.

It follows the lives of the Brady and the Horton families (and others) in the fictional city of Salem, Illinois, charting the ups and downs in love, career, family and more.

In 2022, it moved from NBC after 57 years, airing on Peacock from September that year. The soap was recently renewed for another two seasons by the streamer, meaning the show will hit its 60th outing soon.

McCord's extensive filmography has seen her star in television staples like The O.C., Ugly Betty, Legends of Tomorrow and Dallas, as well as the supernatural horror film Titanic 666.

Speaking about her role in the modern-day remake of the cursed cruise liner, McCord revealed that she "ripped off" Schitt's Creek star Annie Murphy in her characterisation.

"Mia is very vapid and loves herself a lot," she explained. "I completely ripped off Annie Murphy from Schitt's Creek, just so you know. I did it on purpose because she's amazing, so why wouldn't I?

"But the character I play is just atrocious, really. She's horrific. She's a terrible person. Our director allowed us to play around, and I played around with her. It was so much fun."
