There are very few of these amps in existence, and only a handful present on this continent. Made famous by rock legend Tony Iommi, the Laney Supergroup is an excellent flavor of Vintage British amplification. The circuit itself is pretty much identical to the Marshall Plexi, with a couple of small changes regarding the front panel bright switches. Even more unique is the fact this late '60s amp has Partridge transformers, typically seen in Hiwatt and Sound City amps. This combination of features makes for quite a special result, and is likely to impress anyone fond of old JTM45/JMP50 Marshalls.
Internally the filter and bias caps have been changed, and a bias pot was installed for fine tuning. The Bulgin AC port was swapped for an IEC style, and is mounted on the back panel itself. Otherwise the circuit is all original, and features the infamous "mustard" coupling caps also found in Marshalls from the era.
