The Jászai Mari award-winning theater artist was born in Ferencváros, so he has had a close bond with the green and whites since childhood. Most people know Sándor Sasvári's name from the world of theater, but in addition to the stage, he also often turns up on the sports fields. In addition to horse riding, his great passion is football: he was born in Ferencváros, so football has been a part of his life since childhood. His younger daughter regularly accompanies him to Fradi matches, and sometimes his wife joins them.
"Even though I already live in the agglomeration, Fradi's heart beats under my chest. I grew up in Mester Street, in a bourgeois environment. Even today, I remember the horse-drawn carriages passing under our window, carrying coal, soda, ice or live animals. At that time, there were still so many green areas that you could walk barefoot on the street. By the way, I inherited the love of the Ferencvárosi Torna Club from my father," Sándor Sasvári recalled his childhood in the Dankó Rádió program.
The Jászai Mari award-winning actor also told about his father that he considers him to be his greatest teacher, from whom he learned the art of acting. He worked as a film director until 1945, working with the greats of the era, Katalin Karády, Pál Jávor and Kálmán Latabár. Their whole family was imbued with a love of art: his mother acted and sang, and he taught himself to play the guitar at the age of five.
