First really significant climb I rode up on the course bike. Spicy nonetheless. The devil is definitely in the tail. The first part is not too bad. Then the descent provides some rest, after which the last part starts. Very beautiful scenery by the way.

After all the cobbles, it is a relief to ride up here. After you turn right, the climb starts gently but the length makes sure you will feel your legs. After the climb there is a nice downhill which is the reward for the climbing!

It is a climb with the sting in the tail. The descent in the middle provides a bit of rest after the first steep part. On nice days the forest can be crowded with hikers who can form an extra obstacle on the last steep part.

I do have some reservations about the scoring of these hills on the site here. The koppenberg for example, with a steep part of 22%, constantly on cobblestones where there are no possibilities to escape to paths on the side ... I don't know any hill in the Flemish Ardennes that is more difficult. Comparing the mont de l'enclus (even with the spur) with the koppenberg ... Making speed on cobblestones or asphalt is different anyway. The mythical character of the koppenberg also makes it the number one slope in the region for me!
