Two Filipinas at trans-pageant Miss International Queen 2014

If you have it, flaunt it.

The Philippines has sent not one but two candidates to the annual Miss International Queen beauty pageant for trangenders. This year’s contest will be held in Pattaya, Thailand, on November 7. The Philippine representatives are Kim Marie Villagalano and Maria Venus Gomez.

“In many ways, Miss International Queen is just like any other pageant: finalists parade in evening gowns, swimsuits and national dress, and the winner will perform twelve months of promotional and charity duties. There’s one major difference, though: all the contestants are transgender women, and the top prize includes cosmetic surgery for the winner – if she wants it,” reports Fran Wigley on Rocketnews24.com.

There are 25 finalists from 21 countries, according to the report, with the top prize of US$12,500 and any surgery the winner wishes to have, be it gender reassignment of other cosmetic surgeries.
