English: Terebella lapidaria Linnaeus, 1767, synonym used by McIntosh: Leprea lapidaria (Linnaeus, 1767) after Emil Edler von Marenzeller (1884).
This species is NOT the Leprea lapidaria from the South West African coast, described by H. Augener (1918). Polychaeta. Beiträge zur Kenntnis der Meeresfauna Westafrikas. 2(2): 67–625, here pp. 518–521, and synonymized as Leprea (Terebella) lapidaria Augener, 1918 with Terebella schmardai Day, 1934 (WoRMS, G. Read & K. Fauchald). It is the Leprea lapidaria from locations in the Mediterranean and at the French and British Atlantic coast, redescribed by Emil Edler von Marenzeller (1884): Zur Kenntniss der adriatischen Anneliden. Dritter Beitrag. Terebellen (Amphitritea Mgrn.) Sitzungsberichte der Akademie der Wissenschaften, mathematisch-naturwissenschaftliche Klasse 89, pp. 151–215, diagnosis of Leprea lapidaria on pp. 184–185.Deutsch: Terebella lapidaria Linnaeus, 1767, Synonym verwendet von McIntosh: Leprea lapidaria (Linnaeus, 1767) nach Emil Edler von Marenzeller (1884).
Diese Art ist NICHT die Leprea lapidaria von der südwestafrikanischen Küste, beschrieben von H. Augener (1918). Polychaeta. Beiträge zur Kenntnis der Meeresfauna Westafrikas 2 (2), S. 67–625, hier S. 518–521, und synonymisiert als Leprea (Terebella) lapidaria Augener, 1918 mit Terebella schmardai Day, 1934 (WoRMS, G. Read & K. Fauchald).
