- No real advice, just sympathy. Our husky is the ultimate pain in the ass. She digs under our privacy fence and runs the neighborhood, and runs out the front door if it's open for even a second.
Just as a warning, watch her closely if you put her out in the harness. This little princess has chewed through 3 collars and 2 harnesses...yes, while they are on her! When we got her from the rescue, they warned us huskies were the ultimate escape artists, and they weren't joking!
Our puppies look a lot alike 😍 - trinaliz said:Do you have a big tree?
They make things that look like clo…Someone on my street has this for his dog. I think it's a great idea.Advertisement | page continues below - I love his face and I want to snuggle him.
Anyways, I agree with one of the clothesline tether things until you can get the fence fixed.
Our beagle is a disaster since our oldest dog passed. He never had issues as long as she was with him, but he's been digging into the kids side of the yard recently (she passed in October), and actually got out of the gate for the first time while we were out the other day. He fortunately went straight to the neighbors house and played with them in their yard until we got home, but I was so freaked out. We made sure his tags are updated with phone numbers and such, and he comes with us if possible. How often do you walk the dog? Husky need exercise and more than just running around the back yard.
Training classes are expensive, how do you have money for that, but not fixing the fence? Why can't you train the dog yourself?

She does get walked daily.
ETA We have a ton of stray cats around here and she likes to chase them which is why I think she likes to escape as well.

119 for classes and to fix the fence it will be around 600
ETA to fix the fence correctly and not half ass. Who ever built this house did a shitty job and it’s all falling apart. The fence wasn’t weather proofed and the recent rain here messed it up. Not to mention the roots of a tree are making things worse so we need to get the tree taken care of as well so it doesn’t keep lifiting shit up. The tree also so kindly grew through some pipes which we kept having to fix due to leaks. It’s jsuy a pain in the ass and we don’t want to throw a couple 100 into to fix it and not fix it correctly which is why we shall wait

Sorry to reply twice. I have tried training her but I just am at a loss in how to train her to come when I say come
I did many basic commands and she’s great at it. But once she’s over the fence it’s like I don’t matter. Idk if the classes will even help but I figure it’s worth a shot. - Eeksta Original PosterPosted 01-12-18alexandersmom09 said:
