Can Shelf life setting trigger warning or error message when it is expired?

Hi MM Guru,

To my knowledge, the Shelf life is to trigger the receiving date upon GR.

May I ask if it closes to the Shelf life (GR Date + Shelf life), does it prompt any message upon GI?

Go to T code OMJJ, enter the movement Type 261 and Tick mark the

check box Check SLExpir.date, as shown below

You can check with the settings in T code OMJ5 Where you can set Check for SLED against Movement type of Goods Issue i.e 261/262 in your case.

You may check for messages in Inventory management attributes of system messages application area  M7  messges 210 , 211 etc and aslo in LG batch management message attributes application area 12

Dear Sally,

In order to have an error message you need to activate Expirity Date Check both in plant and movement type.

Corresponding tcode is OMJE.
