Duplicate posting to WBS element

Hi Friends

We have implemented Plant Maintenance module, which is highly integrated to Controlling.

1. There are Work orders that settles to WBS element (Statistical).

Once the Technician confirms the hours, activity allocation posting happens between Cost center and Work order, but at the same time same posting also gets posting to WBS element with Value type 4, which we dont want.

is there a way we can prevent having duplicate posting to WBS element?

Hi Manish

Its not a duplicate posting. Your wbse is statistical and it might be derived because of some relation with work order or CC

Its fine in my opinion

Thanks for you time man, much appreciated.

Issue is that when I run report S_ALR_87013558 with my project, it shows me $10000 as spent, then when i drill down to Line item level report it shows me $7000 (Net of Value type 11), this is what i was expecting to see on front end of the report as well.

So in the front end it shows total of Value type 4 and 11, I want only Val type 11 total displayed in the front end, basically it is creating confusion for Project manager.

Any resolution??

Hi

In the selection screen, you have the option to select desired value types. By default, both are selected

We had same issue for KSB1 report. Sap gave us source code correction through some note.

Check with Sap and I will also check from my end

from my investigation on the issue, what we did is Suppressed the WBS element filed fromthe Work order layout, so while technician creates the work order, they wont have field to key in the WBS element and instead they would just key the WBS element in Settlement rule.

By suppressing the WBS element field from WO master data, I regenerated the test and it stopped making Value type 4 Posting to the WBS element and WBS was posted only at the time of WO settlement with val type 11. I not sure if this has any impact on my Budget commitment of project or not. (Still working that)

I know above it a sort of patch work to not allow the posting, what is your take on this resolution.

This should be absolutely fine.. It wont have any -ve impact

When you settle the WO to WBSE, it will consume the budget

Is there a way I can limit S_ALR_87013558 to display on.y certain value type posting?

I tried to look in dynamic selection, but there is nothing that I can limit it on Value type.

Manish,

If you want to display only certain value type postings in S_ALR_87013558 you will need to create new report based on the existing one.

S_ALR_87013558 uses form 12KST1A. In this form Actual column is defined to display both actual and stat values:

You can create new form with CJE4.
