For Object XABBELEGNR, number range interval does not exist OMJ6

Dear Sir,

I would like to post an error which i am getting.

Screen shot is attached for your reference.

I have already checked OMJ6, OMC1 and SNRO. all are maintained but still the error is coming. I need your help in this regards.

Please send the complete screenshot of error after selecting the question mark

Among other things did you Activate GR/GI Slip Number range check for the plant?

Upon checking this I am getting following standard warning message. So not sure if you can make use of Material Slip/Delivery Note as an alternative per recommendation. If I were you I will go with what is suggested here.

Hi Koushik,

Here is what I Did

1. Create New Number range Grouping  Code - 51 and assign external No range Interval 01.

2. Assign New Grouping Code 51 to Plant Sloc and movement type. It was working

Note: This config was created by SAP for Italy where this is a legal requirement and its up to you to decide whether to use it for other countries or not.

Hi,

I dont see storage location in your screenshot. You will get missing no range error if Storage Location is blank.

Just saw that your GR/GI slip number is filled, this field must only be used in case your plant in Italy? see OSS note 72711 - Goods receipt/issue slip no.(XAB no.) outside Italy

Still our plant is not in Italy. What are the settings I have to maintain?

What does "we have to maintain GR/GI Slip no" mean? Is it a legal requirement?

According to the F1 help text for GR/GI Slip no field in all countries where a GR/GI Slip no is needed the material number is sufficient.

Actually, previously GR/GI Number have been used during migo_gr and no message was given. But unfortunately now a days its not working. That';s why I am asking the settings.

we can use GR/IR in standard, my advice is to change number range from A -Z TO A1-Z9, it will work

If it worked and does not work now then something must have happened in your system.

did you upgrade or implement an enhancement package?

Are there other consultants also working in the same area of your responsibility, have you asked them if they changed something?

What is actually "previously" ? Yesterday, or some years ago, or in a different plant? don't you use this field all the time if it is required?

Had you already checked the change history to the given customizing transactions?

Sorry Sir, It's not worked . I have assigned Document number A1-Z9/ A1-Z9999999. But still error message is coming.

Actually our basis consultant update some patch. Before applying the patch it was successfully done. But now we are getting this error. I have also asked them regarding this issue.

Hi,

   The message does not show the number range interval and its blank in the message shown in your screenshot. Please check whether the number range interval (like 01) is assigned to the group in OMC1. If its assigned, maintain the interval in the number range group (edit mode) as explained in the KBA: 1805043 - OMBT lost insert/delete capability for interval ECC 6.0 EHP6

can you share the screen shot of OMC1 did you maintained number range for the plant storagelocation movt type combination ,

in your GRN screen shot you have mentioned alphnumeric number  in GR/IR box but in OMJ6 it is only characters that is the reason your getting this error can you edit the number rage with alpha numeric, it will work

Your screenshot does not show that you have entered a document number.

Since all your number ranges are defined as external it is of course necessary that you entered the number yourself. If you did not do that then SAP is looking for an internal number range which does not exist in your OMJ6
