Hello,

MRP PD allows the forecasting. If you want to know which MRP types allow the forecasting please check MRP type customizing in OMDQ.

For S4H please refer below steps

Make sure you have consumption values maintained

Convert Forecast values to PIR

Converted Forecast values to PIR can be seen in Stock Requirement list

Please refer this discussion on it,

Forecasting with MRP type PD

Dear Rupesh,

I was able to get results on MP38, MD04 as below

Now I tried to use MD70 to get these forecast values in demand management but I am not getting anything in MD70.

But when I changed Consumption Indicator for Forecast in mrp type PD it worked, but not sure what is use of MD70 when planned order is getting created against forecast quantity as well ? can you please guide

Please guide.

Hello,

What do you mean planned orders are getting created for forecast quantity too?

Thats what the forecast is its same like PIR where we have also the planned order.

Here on the basis of consumption we do the forecasting.

In SAP S/4HANA, forecast demands cannot be used any more directly as demands for MRP. Instead, they have to be copied into Planned Independent Requirements (PIRs)

Copy from Total Forecast (Report RM60FORC or transaction MD70): Total Forecast Demands are converted/copied into PIRs.
